The Story:

The film explores the impact of cluster headaches, a severe and debilitating neurological condition characterized by intense, recurring pain on one side of the head. It delves into the life of a couple coping with this condition, highlighting their struggles and resilience in the face of chronic suffering.

Lighting Style: Chiaroscuro

For the film, low-light settings with stark contrasts were chosen to enhance the drama, emphasize the body horror elements, and reflect the character's aversion to light. Inspired by films such as "Pi," "Tetsuo: The Iron Man," and "Apocalypse Now," this style is employed predominantly in the cluster room using hard lighting. In the kitchen scenes, softer lighting is used while still maintaining a dark ambiance.
